Warranty Swaps
This account update procedure is primarily used when a merchant reports a faulty Clover device or accessory that qualifies for replacement under Clover’s manufacturer warranty.
Circumstances
The device is malfunctioning or defective, and
The device is still within Clover’s 1-year manufacturer warranty period
Devices that are outside the 1-year manufacturer warranty are not eligible for replacement unless Clover Care coverage is active on the hardware.
Required Information
Before submitting a warranty swap request, confirm you have all of the following:
Merchant DBA name
Clear photo of the serial number (HSN) for the faulty device(s)
⚠️ Important: Every Clover component has its own HSN (e.g., terminal, receipt printer, payment display, power adapter). A warranty swap request cannot be submitted without the correct HSN for the specific faulty item(s).
How to Request a Warranty Swap
Email hello@atlaspayments.co and include the following in the email:
Merchant DBA name
Clear photo(s) of the faulty hardware’s HSN
Detailed description of the issue and reason for swap
Replacement devices are shipped to the merchant’s business address on file by default. If an alternate delivery address is preferred, the alternate address must be explicitly stated in the request email.
Return Requirements (Critical)
A return shipping label will be included with the replacement device or part.
The faulty hardware must be returned using:
The provided box
The included return label
⚠️ Important: Failure to return any replaced hardware will result in a fee charged by Clover to the merchant.
