Account Closure

In some cases, a merchant may request that their Atlas Payments account be closed or terminated. If the merchant is still within their contract and an Early Termination Fee (ETF) applies, the ETF must be paid before the account can be closed. This most usually applies when Atlas Payments provided discounted or free equipment. In these cases, any outstanding hardware (devices or accessories) must also be returned.

NOTE: Not all accounts include an ETF. If no ETF applies or the contract has expired, no payment is required to close the account. However, an Early Termination Agreement must still be signed to formally close the account.

How to Request

Email hello@atlaspayments.co and include the following:

• Merchant DBA name & MID

• Reason for termination

Upon receipt of the request, an Early Termination Agreement document will be sent for e-signature using the merchant’s email address and phone number on file, and is sent the same day.

Merchant Requirements

To complete termination, the merchant must:

• Sign the Early Termination Agreement document

• Pay the ETF (or approved alternate amount) via ACH

NOTE: In certain situations, Atlas Payments may approve a payment below the original ETF amount. Approval is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we will work with the merchant when appropriate.
